  • NH Fishing

I know its a long shot asking this question but thought I would give it a shot. I will be spending 10 days in Rye Beach NH this summer. I have family there but there none are real fishermen...or fisherladies. Anyone know of a good river to do some fishing? I see a few on GE but was hoping to get some firsthand knowledge.

    Thanks in advance...Matt

I kayak fished the sunappe region lakes last summer, will do again this summer, really want to catch a salmon. I was planning on fishing Hampton harbor, but there was nothing really special being caught there that I cant catch here so decided against it. I may try this summer though. there is a kayak fishing guide in that area, may want to give him a shout to see what is being caught. kayakfishnh.com

Mouth of the Merrimack in Newburyport has stripers. Never fished there but my Mom lives there so I've seen some reports. Lots of boats in the harbor and river in summer but there are some good flats at the mouth. It's about 20 minutes south of Rye.
