  • Feb 26th Yellow Perch

I went with SurfDog this morning to Wye River Landing on the Eastern Shore. We caught four yellow perch in 6 feet of water. They were 9.5 inches and they were all males. Fishing was slow. Four fish in two hours, but it was fun to be out catching fish.

ha ha you got spoiled by those yellow perch grouped up on the suski. 4 fish almost 5 if you could have set the hook on that one that got away in 2 hrs isnt shabby for this time of year from shore. GB and i went to beachwood at 2 and in 2 hrs caught skunk. 1 guy caught a nice pike and a guy on our left a small catfish. a kid there actually caught a blue crab in the morning. need to bring waders there with a high tide there isnt much shoreline to stand on. was bsing with some guys and they said that at 8am it was standing room only, shoulder to shoulder, at 2 maybe 10 anglers. i think the wye was the better choice.

Sounds like you guys did better than me. I'm 0 for 2, but it's still pretty early for my usual spots.
