  • Ouch!!! Hook in the lips!

I laughed for the first couple of seconds of the video, but later had severe sympathy pains for my man!

Nice, two hooks. He actually got it out easier than I thought he would.

I don't think TLs (lineman's pliers) are the preferred tool for the job, but he got it done without ripping his lip open.

Video left out the beer guzzling before and after...
when I was a boy 2 of my buddies were out on a DIY raft of logs and one hooked the other in the nose on back cast. It was with one of the old flatfish with dual treble hooks. 4 of the six hooks were buried in his nose.
They got a laugh out of it...went to the local paper for a pic first before visiting the Dr. Awesome pic was run in many of the regional papers, LOL

I have no doubt there was some pain killing elixir going on.

Ahh, that was tough to watch. I will never forget hooking the meat of my palm with a super sized treble hook while fishing out on the bay. My neighbor was fishing with me and was able to cut the hook high near the split to the other two hooks. He then pushed the hook through the meat to pull it out hook end first. Man that sucked. After that event I was sure to keep good cutters and medical kit on the boat, including lidocaine and syringe. I figured if I was fishing offshore, I had better be better prepared.

Something that is also painful to watch is this guide self hooking himself to demonstrate different de-hooking techniques
