  • Poppa's new toy

I've been looking for a camera for filmng yakfishing fun ......... nothing seemed to have the features that I wanted ......... small, long recording time, decent quality video, waterproof, remote controlled, seperate LCD display w/live and playback, and multiple mounting options ....... until I saw this one .......

    http://www.vio-pov.com/pov-tactical/pov-t.html

found 1 used on another site .......... it is made for yak fishing ....... lens is small enough to unclip and put in the water for underwater shots, has a wrist band remote and seperate LCD for framing the shot, just about any kind of mount you can think of available, records up to 10 hours of video on 4 AA lithium batteries and up to 6hrs of highest quality on a memory card .........

Just wish it was HD but this is good .....

Can't wait to play with it !!!!!!!!

That POV cam is slick. Let us know how it preforms. I like the remote feature too.

That looks really nice. I saw the mmanolis video. I have also seen video from other kayakers taken with those. That has me thinking now. I like my stills but video would be better.

About 5 years ago I purchased a "helmet cam" for mountain biking. It is basically a remote lens for a camcorder. They are fairly inexpensive and definitely a viable solution for a remotely mounted camera if you already have a decent camcorder. The one I have is similar to this one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Helmet-camera-he...#ht_500wt_1156
