  • Rocky Gorge Easter Bass

    I was able to get out for a few hours after the rain stopped this afternoon. I headed down to Scott's Cove and spent a few hours trolling one of my new rapalas I had ordered over the winter. I was pretty impressed with the lure's action, and apparently so were the fish. I ended up catching a 17.5 incher and a 16 incher. Check out the pics below:

    Nice job Perchy I like the color of that rapala.

      Thanks Dan. The flouro colors seem to outfish the natural colors. I have both hot tiger and firetiger patterns for these new cranks.

        Agreed. Fire Tiger has worked well for me at Triadelphia and Rocky Gorge.

          Yeah I think the sediment from the river makes the water tea stained. These jointed husky jerks dive down about 8-13 ft and the nonjointed ones about 18 ft which is perfect for Rocky Gorge. I also ordered some DT-20s off cabelas for summer trolling. I use 10 lbs braid to help the lures get down a little deeper as well.
