  • Pre-Work wade fishing fun: 7/18

Hit my favorite freshwater spot this morning hoping for a decent Bass on ultra light tackle and my wish was granted. The water was a bit cloudier then I was expecting, but I still did pretty well. I caught several bluegills, yellow perch, and fallfish and also a trout and a nice 3 lb bass. I had another Bass on that was possibly a bit bigger but it pulled the line into a log and came off after about a 20 second battle. Here's the one I caught.

Sadly this is my biggest Bass of the year so far... It seemed bigger in person and very chunky for its length.

Haha, funny how they always look chunkier in person. We'd make a killing if we developed a "fisherman camera" that made the fish look actual size.

That would have been my biggest bass of the year too. Musta been fun on the ultra light.
