    Too small for live lining spot? should I bump to a 2/0?

    u should bump it up to a 5/0 - 6/0 if your livelining for stripers.

    i use 6/0 owner live bait hooks

        I've been using 4/0 because most of the spot I've been fishing with are tiny. I stopped going through both lips and now only go through the top lip and out a nostril, seems to keep the bait alive longer.

          some people hook them up through both lips or the dorsal fin. i always hook them up through the upper lip. They don't die as quick that way.

            i usually use 5/0-6/0 gama circle hooks and hook them through the dorsal, they tend to swim down when hooked that way and up when hooked through the nose.

              Yeah i just got some 5/0 circles... should be good to go
