  • Susky Flats - 3/12/2012

Headed over to jetty and had a pretty slow morning. Tide looked slack and bites just weren't happening. Got hung up quite a bit and was getting pretty frustrated. I decided to make a change and fish lighter and slower.

Tide flipped and I started working the shallows with a 1/4oz Storm Shad on my spinning setup. Fished it pretty much like working a worm for LMB (super slow). About my third cast, Bang, nice Smallie, about 18" (3-4lb estimate). About 4 casts later another smallie about 20 -22" (4-5lb estimate) .

Good ending to a rough start.

Wednesday is the day I'll be able to give everyone a temp reading for the flats as I get my Thule Outrigger for my car today! Maiden Voyage on my Prowler Big Game!
