  • Hobie pro angler

So I will be the owner of a 2010 Pro angler after I pick it up this Friday.

I'm just curious what you Pro Angler guys have added/not added or done to yours.

OOOOOOOO ........... Welcome to the Darkest side !!!!!! ........... and membership in the Yak Yacht Club ........... the Capt's hat and ascot are on you ...........

Modifications ........ the usual ........ rod holders, DF, Lights, Camera's, anchor trolley........ oh and a Hobie Livewell .........

Working on installing some mighty mounts.

THe up front boards are GREAT because you don't have to drill the YAk.

Installing in parts of the back are a pain because you need long arms. THink I may have found a way to do it without long arms.

I would leave it in the rain a few times with the front pointed slightly downhill to see if the front compartment leaks. If so you may need some weather stripping around the compartment.

Take out the rod tubes and see if you can seal the ends because some of them leak if you take on a bunch of water you could get a little below.

Try to seal everything you can ..........

          If it's not a 2011 ......... get the steering upgrade ....... the newest 1 ...... makes a world of difference .........

Oh ........ and a rope from the front handle to me ......... so an ole fat guy can stand up .......... young skinny guys usually don't need the rope .....

Matt, I thought you already had a boat?

Isn't the must have accessory for a PA a trailer?

Just kidding man, sounds like you are going to have a nice new bass boat!

Haha ya I think my dad is gonna let me make the utility trailer convertable from kayak trailer and not.

And yes I still have my power boat, and Hobie Cat sailboat (trying to sell), and now 3 kayaks. Looks like I'll be living with the parents forever, I spend all my money on the good stuff!

The PA is a very nice setup.
Saw one at backyard boats and loved it.

How do they pedal compared to an outback?

Good for you- If my Sons did that they could be my fishing partners forever- and I would be happy- it could be something bad like drugs or booze. Fishing extends your life- for every day you fish it adds a day to your life span-

                        It's PA thread.

Nice yak/boat. Torqeedo next, and you'll really be on the dark side.

Nice kayak. I think I am going to be going the way of the PA by spring. Of course, I think I am going with yellow. I have a single aluminum trailer. I will probably give the Torqueedo evolve a try. I like the one that drops into the drive well. I am built for comfort, not necessarily for speed.
