  • busy day at work

    so I had a pretty productive day at work today....thanks to on the fly, with a quick fly tying lesson at bass pro, i was able to create these fish catching machines!!!! oh, and i powder coated these in the loading dock also...lol

        The powder coating will be very un-chip resistant if you don't cure them in the oven. For pro-tec you need to bring them up to something like 350 deg F for 20 minutes for them to cure. They become much more durable. I did a few batches and was pretty dissapointed with the durability before I actually got smart and read the rest of the directions on the back of the container...duh.

        Anyway, the fish probably aren't going to care if the heads are chipped. Those look great. Is that the H-style head or whatever do-it calls it? Do they work well for use around the bridge pilings, if that's what you are going to use them for?
