Anyone thinking of getting one? Looks like a nice river yak that you could still take out on the bay...

Oh and it comes out today!

How is it any better than a Jackson Coosa...

My next kayak will give me the ability to stand up and fish.

It looks difficult to stand up from a seated position while fishing in this new mini-Ride.

The transition from seating to standing looks much easier in the Jackson Coosa or the Wilderness Commander, or the Native Ultimate.

I agree, for a river boat. After seeing Hooked Again's (I think that's right) boat at the snakehead hunt, looks like a great boat for the river. I had a ride 135 and while it was slow, it worked very well in rough water on the bay. Has anyone tried the Jackson in open water?

My boats have to be dual purpose, none are going to be great "bay boats"
I have 3 kids that fish with me (10, 12, 14) and live in Calvert Co, so we are "starting" to do some salt water fishing.
Most of are boating/fishing/camping has been River fishing in WV.
Switching to all SOT, can't beat em. 12' is the max length I would want on the Rivers, and 12' is probobly the min length for the Bay ?
Currently I have a few Mad River Canoes, a 10" Redfish SOT, a 12' Tarpoon clasic, a 12' Prodigy SIK.
I fished the Solomns Bridge with the 10' Redfish, it did fine.
When we fish the rivers, we camp out of the kayaks and that is a problem with the current crop of SOT's, they have no access to all the internal storage in the rear of the hull!! The 4.5" hatch on the back of the current SOT's is useless and there is a LOT of room back there.
Internal storage is a BIGGY with me when looking at SOT's.
The new WS Rides have no access to the rear hull, what were they thinking.
I did pick up a Perception "classic Tarpoon 120" new for $460.00, price was just to low
I did call WS and Heritage to ask about the rear hatch, they literally acted like I was an idiot and told me I did not need one. Oh well

Next boat will be a Coosa
