  • Christmas Holiday Florida Fishing Trip - Day 2

Day 2 I drove down to Clapboard Creek. This place was amazing. I truly envy they guys/gals that get to fish these waters regularly.

Very cool bro. Thanks for sharing!

Quick question did you add additional eye pads for your fish bag upfront or did you just utilize the existing bungee?

I added two pad eyes to the front hatch. The cooler has two rings where I bolted the pad eyes. I believe these were the ones I bought.

You ran into a good school of agreeable specks.

You worked hard for the reds and came up short on the video. I can relate to that!

What kind of baitcaster were you using? You put some excellent casts on the reds and deserved better treatment from them.

Thanks Mark. That was very frustrating but still got my heart pumping. That baitcaster was a Daiwa Laguna. One of Daiwas cheaper reels but they are nice.

I stuck a red briefly last month in FL but never got it to the kayak. They can be frustrating indeed. Seeing one tailing only adds to the frustration when you miss it.

              You worked that reel well.
